City

Chiclayo

Peru. Chiclayo is known as the 'City of Friendship', but for travelers, it's the gateway to Peru's most important archaeological discoveries outside of Cusco. It's a bustling, chaotic commercial hub that hides incredible museums, ancient pyramids, and a shaman market that will make your eyes pop.

When to go: Year-round

Chiclayo is in the desert, so it's dry and warm year-round. Summer (December-March) is hotter.
