When to go: Spring

March to May is beautiful (Jacaranda trees bloom). Winters are mild but nights are cold.

Summer is the rainy season (afternoon showers).

Getting there: Uber

Benito Juarez (MEX) is right in the city. Uber is the best way to leave—it's cheap and safe.

Where to stay: Roma or Condesa

Roma and Condesa are the trendy, leafy neighborhoods full of cafes and parks. Best for first-timers.

What to see: Museums and Pyramids

Food: Tacos Al Pastor

Eat everything. Tacos al pastor (pork on a spit) are the city's dish. Try Chilaquiles for breakfast.

Fine dining is also huge—Pujol and Quintonil are world-famous.

Getting around: Uber
