Caribbean Netherlands

The Caribbean Netherlands consists of three special municipalities of the Netherlands: Bonaire, Sint Eustatius (Statia), and Saba. They are known as the BES islands. Bonaire is a world-class diving destination with protected reefs. Saba is the 'Unspoiled Queen', a volcanic peak with no beaches but incredible hiking and diving. Statia is a quiet historical gem.

Bonaire

Diver's Paradise. The entire coastline is a marine park. Shore diving is the main draw—just drive up, gear up, and jump in. Visit the salt pans and see flamingos. Windsurfing at Lac Bay is world-class.

Saba

The highest point in the Netherlands (Mount Scenery). It has no beaches, just steep cliffs and lush rainforest. The diving here is deep pinnacles and seamounts. The airport has the shortest commercial runway in the world.

Sint Eustatius

Quiet and historic. It was once a major trading hub ('The Golden Rock'). Great for wreck diving and hiking the Quill volcano.
